Abaco is seeking a Systems Administrator to work for a major financial banking institution located in Washington, DC. The ideal candidate for this opportunity will demonstrated ability in a lead capacity as a systems administrator of Microsoft Windows servers.


Experience with windows migrations and active directory upgrades
Knowledge of network backup processes and procedures
Experience building, configuring, and managing Microsoft Windows servers
Experience with Enterprise Backup software


Monitor server resources, application/server health, and application/server performance to proactively identify and resolve any server-related issue(s).

Perform analysis on server faults to and implement strategies, approved by the COR, to minimize future issues
Troubleshoot and resolve server problems
Recommend system enhancements, tests, and implements approved solutions
Perform Windows server upgrades and patches
Author and maintain PowerShell script suite for various server operations tasks
Ensure the server security posture is in adherence to agency’s mandates
Analyze security scan finding and address vulnerabilities
