  • 4 years of experience with multiple software programming technologies including J2EE with Spring and Hibernate.
  • 2 years of experience analyzing, designing and implementing integration solutions.

Abaco is seeking a Software Automation Engineer to work for a federal Agency located in Washington, DC. As the Software Automations Engineer, you will provide testing solutions with a team of approximately eight software engineers and test engineers working with Java, J2EE, Web development and Open Source technologies in an Agile-based environment. The Automated Solutions Tester works closely with development, business analysts, and other team members to identify, report, and troubleshoot defects to verify problem fixes in a detailed, efficient, and timely manner.

Highlights of Responsibilities

  • Work within the development team environment and performs the following tasks:
    • Work closely with their respective team, other teams, business analyst, technical leads, management lead and product managers to define the automated development components that will be used to validate requirements against developed software;
    • Execute automated testing on both web front end and back end systems (the ability to test at an API level such as via Web Services, JMS Queue, or other back end service is essential);
    • Perform test validations at various levels including DB validation, logging validation, and UI validation.
  • Work with Business Analyst and Team Leads/Technical Leads to define test scenarios and test cases for the evolving solution in accordance with the Technical Testing Strategy:
    • Carry out all types of technical testing of the solution as a whole;
    • Create testing products, e.g. test cases, plans and logs;
    • Document and report the results of testing activities for Quality Assurance purposes;
    • Keep the Team Lead and other designated management officials informed of the results of testing activities;
    • Ensure they can plan and carry out their tests to ensure acceptance criteria objectives are met.

 

Minimum Qualifications and Experience

  • US Citizen with the ability to obtain Public Trust and complete DHS Security Clearance.
  • 2 years of experience as s Solutions Tester with increasing testing responsibilities.
  • Prior working experience delivering Agile methodology based projects and leading multiple projects involving multiple teams using Agile Methodology and working closely with product owners, release managers as well as program and project managers.
  • Prior working experience analyzing and planning effective use of technology.
  • Prior working experience leading large scale federal IT software development projects.

* Review and create artifacts that can be leveraged across the solution implementation

* Responsible for the design and management of the end to end architecture of the solution and ensure that all the components of the solution integrate together

* Apply object-oriented programming and design approaches, and patterns-based design and development

* Apply Service Oriented Architecture (SOA) concepts including RESTful and SOAP-based services

* Design in compliance with Agency’s Enterprise Architecture tenets

Minimum Qualifications and Experience

* 10+ years’ experience developing Oracle EBS solutions for Federal Financial applications

* BS Computer Science or equivalent and 12-15 years of related experience

* Eligible to work in the US and the ability to pass a National Agency Check (NAC) background investigation.

* Deep understanding and proven recent experience experience leading at least three (3) Oracle migrations (Oracle Financials version 11.5.10 (11i) to R12)

* Advanced understanding of architectures to include Cloud Computing technologies.

Position Description:

We are looking for a candidate to provide consulting and change management services to configure, integrate, and implement the  subscription service to the Oracle Taleo Learn US Government Cloud (TLC) for learning management and transactional business intelligence.

Required Skills:

  • Have knowledge and experience with Oracle Taleo Learning Management, Transactional Business Intelligence, and Taleo Connect Client (TCC) release 15A+
  • Have knowledge and experience with Oracle Taleo coexistence implementation with PeopleSoft HCM
  • Ensure all specified deliverables are provided within the required timeframe as dictated by the COTR and project lead and as described on the written project schedule
  • Provide a weekly status report to the COTR documenting concerns, issues, risks, and progress
  • Possess experience on at least one TLC implementation of learning management, transactional business intelligence, and TCC
  • Serve as a project consultant for Oracle Taleo and PeopleSoft products in the role of project manager, system integrator, functional analyst, or developer
  • Possess strong project planning skills
  • Partner with internal business owners, technical team members, and senior management throughout the project life cycle to assist and support the design, development, and TLC implementation of learning management, transactional business intelligence, and TCC
  • Act as the intermediary to facilitate a clear understanding among all parties about business assumptions and requirements, design, technical, testing, and production migration requirements
  • Work closely with the Technology Services staff to establish, revise, and maintain standards and procedures while implementing system projects
  • Work with clients to foster best business practices, the appropriate use of automation to provide efficient, cost-effective administrative systems and a continual process improvement approach to the customer’s automated administrative systems
  • Possess strong oral and written communication skills
  • Assist where necessary with business process redesign to take advantage of the efficiencies offered by automation
  • Plan and create project charter, project plan, risk matrix, issues log, communication plan, workshop/conference room pilot (CRP) plan, and change management strategy for the TLC implementation of learning management, transactional business intelligence, and TCC including but not limited to architecture discovery, site design, user account architecture, learning plan build, basic training load, workflow (i.e. notifications, approvals, confirmations, etc.), and administrator training.
  • Design and create configuration documentation, functional design, technical design, data mapping, security matrix, test strategy, and training strategy for the TLC implementation of learning management, transactional business intelligence, and TCC.
  • Set up, configure, and prototype end to end system configuration, integration with on premise PeopleSoft HCM 9.2 system, interoperability with Microsoft Outlook, reports and extracts, unit testing, testing scenarios and scripts, updated configuration documents, and CRP sessions and summary for the TLC implementation of learning management, transactional business intelligence, and TCC.
  • Provide fully configured, tested, and user accepted application, key user training, finalized configuration documentation, detailed go-live cutover plan, and finalized production environments for the TLC implementation of learning management, transactional business intelligence, and TCC.
  • Provide application go-live, project closure, transition and stabilization, issue resolution, and end user feedback for the TLC implementation of learning management, transactional business intelligence, and TCC.

Certifications Required: PMP (preferred not required)

Critical Hiring Criteria

  • 5-7 years of experience (or more) desired
  • Oracle Taleo experience
  • Peoplesoft HCM 9.2 knowledge/experience
  • Strong Project Management experience
  • Able to commute to DC
